When making a connection via wireless, raise the
antenna (if possible) as shown in the figures.

  • Page 3 Introduction The Sierra Wireless SB555 OEM CDMA modem is an embedded wireless modem for cellular and North American PCS networks. It enhances the functionality of your Toughbook by adding high speed wireless data service. The SB555 modem functions as a wireless network card. It allows you to connect to the Internet, send and receive e-mail, and connect to a corporate network, without the need of a network cable or phone line.

    Installation Instructions for SB555 Watcher 1. Win2000/XP Users Step 1. Install files Install the SB555 Wireless Watcher software for your chosen carrier by running the downloaded file (ie: SB555G_WIN2K_XP_Bell_Mobility.exe) or copy files from the "Windows" directory on the Watcher CD (if provided) to a directory (e.g. C:\Watcher) on the PC. Using the Port Tool If initialization fails after running Watcher, run the "SB555 Port Tool.exe"...

Click “Add” to add a connection profile. 4.2 Fill in the following parameters: Connection Name, Phone, User Name, Password (check “Save password” box in order to enter the password field) based on your network. Connection parameters may vary based on your network provider.
