Reverse Channel - Control signal from the printer. Subject to configuration.
Data Terminal Ready (DTR) - Control signal from the printer. Subject to configuration.
Transmit Clock (TC) - A timing signal for transmitted data that may be optionally pro
vided by a Data Set with synchronous interface. (Optional)
Receive Clock (RC) - A timing signal for Received Data that may be optionally provided
by a Data Set with synchronous interface. (Optional)
External Clock (EC) - An asynchronous timing clock stream pulsed at 16 times the input
data rate from an external TTL source when external baud rate has been selected. (Op
tional)
*NOTE: Only one of the Serial Interface clocks can be selected by inserting
the related jumper. Selecting one of these clocks will require cutting the ap
propriate etch on the PCBA: For jumper E4A-E4B, cut E4B-E4C; for
jumper E5A-E5B, cut E5B-E5C; for jumper E6A-E6B, cut
E6B-E6C. These changes should only be performed by a qualified techni
cian.

RS-232 Serial Interface Protocols

The following serial interface protocol characters are available. The protocol is configu
ration selectable from the control panel to meet host interface requirements.
X-ON/X-OFF - The printer transmits an X-ON character (hex 11) when entering the
on line state or when the buffer is almost empty. The printer transmits an X-OFF char
acter (hex 13) when entering the off line state or when the buffer is almost full.
DTR (Data Terminal Ready) - Control signal from the printer. Subject to configuration.
Configurations include: always true, always false, true if on line and buffer not full, and
false if off line and buffer almost full.
ETX/ACK - With ETX/ACK protocol selected, the printer interface operates in a block
structured mode. The host sends a block of data in response to an ACK character (hex
