Museum
Use indoors where flash photography is prohibited (for
example, in museums and art galleries) or in other settings in
which you do not want to use the fiash.
• Camera focuses on subject in center of frame.
• BSS (best shot selector) can be used to shoot
(ITl
75).
• As pictures are easily affected by camera shake, hold the
camera steadily.
• The AF-assist illumination turns off automatically regardless
of the setting of the AF-assist illumination
(ITl 92).

Fireworks show
Slow shutter speeds are used to capture the expanding burst of
light from a firework.
• Camera focuses at infinity. When the shutter-release button is
pressed halfway, the focus indicator
(ITl
6) always glows
green; however, focus may not be set for near subjects, while
the camera focuses at infinity.
• The AF-assist illumination turns off automatically regardless of
the setting of the AF-assist illumination
(ITl 92).
• Motion detection
(ITl 92)
does not function in this scene
mode, even if it is turned on in the setup menu.
