SERVICE HINT

The screen (strainer) in the water valve, located in the inlet
of the water valve, may require occasional cleaning due to
foreign material in the water supply. This will restrict the flow
of water and may affect heater operation and prolong filling
time. To inspect the strainer, close the cold water supply
valve ahead of the heater, disconnect the S-bend from the
inlet of the water valve and remove strainer from inlet.
Clean if required, replace strainer in inlet to the water valve,
reconnected S- bend and turn on water supply.
Light the water heater in accordance with the instructions
on the Lighting and Operating Plate on the water heater.
