You can set your phone to either end or continue a
task when you close the slider.
To be able to close your slider during a phone call
without hanging up:

> Settings > Initial Setup > Slide Closed >
Continue Task
Note: Choosing End Task ends all tasks except calls
using Bluetooth, wired headset, or the speakerphone.
If you are downloading something, closing the slider
doesn't stop the download unless the download hasn't
started yet.

handsfree speaker

You can use your phone's handsfree speaker to make
calls without holding the phone to your ear. The slider
can be open or closed.

Note: The handsfree speaker won't work with a
handsfree car kit or headset.
To activate the
speakerphone, press and
hold the
smart/speakerphone key.
You will hear an alert.
To end the call,
O
press .
Note: Closing the slider while using the speakerphone
does not end the call.
To turn off the speakerphone, press and hold the
smart/speakerphone key or turn off the phone.
To set your phone to turn off the speakerphone
automatically after 20 seconds of inactivity:
