Using or storing the device

Inappropriate places to use or store the device

• A void exposing the device to very cold or very hot temperatures.
• A void using your device in areas with extremely high humidity, or where the humidity
changes drastically.
• A void exposing the device to direct sunlight and storing it in hot, poorly-ventilated areas,
such as in a car during summer time.
• P rotect your device and the display from impact, rough handling, and excessive vibration
to avoid serious damage.
• A void using or storing your device in dusty, dirty, humid, or poorly- ventilated areas to
prevent damage to moving parts and internal components.
• D o not use your device near fuels, combustibles, or flammable chemicals. Do not store
or carry flammable liquids, gases, or explosive materials in the same compartment as the
device or its accessories.
• D o not store the device where there are mothballs.

Using on beaches or shores

• P rotect your device from sand and dirt when you use it on beaches or in other similar
areas.
• Y our device is not waterproof. Do not handle the battery, adapter, or memory card with
wet hands. Operating the device with wet hands may cause damage to your device.

Storing for extended period of time

• W hen you store the device for an extended period, place it in a sealed container with an
absorbent material, such as silica gel.
• O ver time, unused batteries will discharge and must be recharged before use.
• T he present date and time can be initialized when the device is turned on after the device
and battery have been separated for a prolonged period.
