workpiece.

Replacement Parts

Replacement parts are listed on the following pages. To order parts or reach our service department, call
1-800-274-6848 between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (CST), Monday through Friday. Having the Model
Number and Serial Number of your machine available when you call will allow us to serve you quickly and
accurately.
Probable Cause
No incoming power.
Fuse blown, or circuit breaker tripped.
Cord damaged.
Motor bad.
Extension cord too light or too long.
Low current.
Stand on uneven surface.
Auger contacting chisel.
Chips not clearing from hole or auger.
Dull auger.
Feeding auger into workpiece too
slowly.
Auger sharpened incorrectly.
Chuck jaws not tight.
Bent auger.
Auger or chuck not installed properly.
No backing board used.
Workpiece not clamped properly,
pinching the auger.
Excessive feed rate.
Chuck jaws not tight.
Remedy
Check all plug connections.
Replace fuse, or reset circuit breaker.
Replace cord.
Contact WMH technical service.
Replace with adequate size and
length cord.
Contact a qualified electrician.
Machine should be placed on level
floor; use shims if necessary.
Increase offset of auger in relation to
chisel. See page 9.
Retract auger frequently to remove
chips. Make sure chisel slot opens
toward area already cut.
Resharpen, or replace auger.
Increase feed rate.
Resharpen auger correctly (page 17).
Tighten chuck jaws.
Replace auger.
Reinstall the chuck, or auger properly.
Place a scrap board underneath the
workpiece to prevent splintering.
Support or clamp workpiece firmly.
Decrease feed rate.
Tighten chuck jaws.
