♦ Browser -> Options -> Browser Configuration -> Browser
BlackBerry Browser for the enterprise browser (filtered).
Internet Browser for the Standalone browser (not filtered).
♦ Browser -> Options -> Browser Configuration -> Support JavaScript turned on
Necessary for PowerSchool access.
♦ Options -> Auto On/Off
Sets the time that your BlackBerry automatically turns itself on and off.
♦ Options -> Owner
Sets the owner name.
♦ Options -> Password -> Password
Enabled to require a password to unlock the device.
Warning! - If an incorrect password is entered 10 consecutive times (or less if the option has
been changed) the BlackBerry will be wiped clean after the last attempt. If you have
forgotten your password, contact TechSupport BEFORE the last attempt.
Disabled to not require a password to unlock the device.
♦ Options -> Screen Keyboard -> Backlight Brightness
Reducing the brightness increases battery life.
♦ Options -> Screen Keyboard -> Backlight Timeout
Sets the length of time before the screen dims.
♦ Options -> Screen Keyboard -> Right (or Left) Side Convenience Key Opens
Sets the application that is launched when the right (or left) hand side convenience key is
pressed.
♦ Options -> Screen Keyboard -> Trackball
Sets the trackball sensitivity and behavior.
♦ Clock -> Options -> When Charging
Do Nothing to have the screen dim when hooked up to a charger.
Display Clock to have the clock face display when charging.
Enter Bedside Mode to have a predetermined profile become active.
♦ Setting a Picture as Your Home Screen Background
Open the Media application and go to Pictures.
Select a picture and click the Menu button
Choose Set As Home Screen Image

Moving applications and folders around. The top row of icons are the six icons that appear on your main
Home screen.
Highlight the application or folder you want to move.
Click the Menu button.
Select Move or Move to Folder.
Position the application or folder where you want it.
Click the trackball or press the enter key.
