Troubleshooting
This troubleshooting guide provides answers to some common problems
which you may encounter while installing and/or using Diamond Digital
Wireless LAN card products. These problems requires simple
troubleshooting that you can perform by yourself. Contact the Diamond
Digital Technical Support if you encounter problems not mentioned in this
section.
Problem
My computer does not
recognize the installed
A202 Wireless USB Key
Adaptor.
A yellow exclamation
mark or a red cross
appears on the A202
802.11g Network Adaptor
icon.

Action
Verify if the A202 Wireless USB Key
Adaptor drivers are properly installed by
following these instructions:
1. Open the Control Panel window from
the Windows
®
desktop.
2. Double-click on the System icon.
3. Select the Hardware tab then click the
Device Manager button.
4. Click the "+" symbol preceeding the
Network Adapters item, then check the
802.11b/g Wireless LAN Card item.
A yellow exclamation mark or a red
cross preceeding the network adaptor
means that the device driver is not
properly installed or disabled. To fix this,
read the the instructions below.
The device driver is not properly installed
or disabled. If the driver is disabled (red
cross) do the following:
1. Right mouse click on the driver icon and
select Enable.
If the driver is not properly installed
(exclamation mark) do the following:
1. Right mouse click on the driver icon
and select Uninstall.
2. Disconnect the A202 and restart the
computer.
3. Reinstall the drivers from the A202
utilities CD, then restart the computer
and reconnect the A202 adaptor.
