Customizing Your Navigation System

Modifying the Default Settings

You can tailor default settings such as navigation
functions and information display for ease of use.
The following example describes how to change
settings. In this example, the "Auto Voice Rec-
ognition" settings is turned on.

Touch "Settings" in the Main menu.
The Settings menu appears.

Touch "Next".
The screen changes. "Off" is displayed below
"Auto Voice Recognition", indicating that
this function is currently turned "Off".
When you touch items with a setting below
them, their setting changes. When you
touch items with no setting below them, a
setting screen appears.
Touching "Next" or "Previous" changes the
screen and displays another item.

Touch "Auto Voice Recognition".
"On" is displayed below "Auto Voice Recog-
nition", indicating that "Auto Voice Recog-
nition" is set "On".
If you want to change another setting, select
the item you want to change and repeat the
procedure in step 3.

This section describes the details of the setting
for each item. Settings marked with an asterisk
(*) show that they are default or factory settings.

Average Speed

When calculating expected time of arrival and
the number of hours to the destination, the aver-
age speed for the freeway or ordinary road used
is set.
• Freeway
• When the "KM/Mile Setting" is set to "Mile",
it can be set in 5-mile increments from 30
miles to 120 miles (60 mile*).
• When the "KM/Mile Setting" is set to "km", it
can be set in 5-km increments from 60 km to
150 km (95 km*).
• Ordinary Road
• When the "KM/Mile Setting" is set to "Mile",
it can be set in 5-mile increments from 10
miles to 100 miles (35 mile*).
• When the "KM/Mile Setting" is set to "km", it
can be set in 5-km increments from 20 km to
110 km (55 km*).

Modify Current Location

Touch the screen to adjust the current position
and direction of the car displayed on the map.
