By default, vibration is enabled in silent mode, and the icon
appears in the status bar. If vibration is disabled, the
silent icon
will appear in the status bar.

Switching to Vibrate

In Sound settings tap Vibrate and choose the condition for
vibration. If your phone is already in Silent mode, the vibration
icon
will appear in the status bar when vibration is enabled.

Flipping to Turn off Ringtone

In Sound settings tick the Turn to forbid phone ring box.
Then you can flip your phone over to mute the ringtone when
there is an incoming call.

'Haptic' (touch) Keypad Feedback

If you'd like your phone to vibrate in response to your
keypresses or certain UI interactions, then you need to turn
on the haptic feedback.
1. Tap Home Key >
> Settings > Sound.
2. Tick the Haptic feedback box.

Adjusting Volume

1. Make sure your phone isn't in Silent mode.
2. Tap Volume from Sound settings.
3. Adjust the ringtone volume, media volume, and alarm
volume and tap OK to save.
