Switching between modes is as easy as pressing a button. The iCEBOX is compact in size but delivers big performance with an ultra sharp, high resolution monitor, a 125 channel cable-ready TV, Dolby® audio technology, and two high performance speakers. -

Locate the Quick Reference Card. It contains a packing list and an illustration of all the items included with the iCEBOX showing how you will find them in the shipping container. Carefully remove the contents of the shipping container and verify that you have received everything listed on the Quick Reference Card. -

Screw your existing TV cable into the coaxial connector on the back panel of the TV Cable or iCEBOX to enable cable programming (see Figure 5). If cable service is not available, use the supplied antenna to enhance local broadcast reception. -

Your iCEBOX is equipped with a built-in modem. When properly connected to a phone line, you can use the iCEBOX to access the Internet and to send and receive e-mail. Please refer to Section 6 on page 21, for detailed instructions on using your iCEBOX to access to Internet. -

(Figure Connecting to The iCEBOX operates with normal household electrical current: 120VAC, 60 Hz. A Power 120 VAC power cord is supplied with your iCEBOX. To connect to power: Plug the supplied AC power cord into the AC connection on the rear panel of the iCEBOX (Figure 7). -

Setting Up Your iCEBOX Turning on the The first time the iCEBOX is plugged in and anytime it has been unplugged and iCEBOX for the plugged back in, the unit will spend a few seconds initializing. During this period, the buttons on the front panel, remote control and keyboard will not function. -

Monitor and Security Mode When a video camera is connected to the iCEBOX, you are able to view live video input from anywhere the video camera is installed: for example a child’s room, or your front door. However, newer homes, apartments, and condominiums may be pre-wired with high speed digital phone lines. All modems, including the modem in the iCEBOX, require an analog phone line. Connecting a modem to a digital line will cause permanent damage to the modem. -
