    Color quality guide This Color Quality guide is intended to help users understand how operations available on the printer can be used to adjust and customize color output. A brief description of the purpose and operation of the functions available that affect color output is provided.
  • Page 7 Users can print color Samples samples pages for each of the RGB and CMYK color conversion tables used in the printer. The color samples pages consist of a series of colored boxes along with the RGB or CMYK combination that creates the color observed for each particular box.

  • Page 8: Solving Color Quality Problems

    When a user prints a document, information describing the type and color of each object in the document is sent to the printer. The color information is passed through color conversion tables that translate the color into appropriate amounts of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black toner needed to produce the desired color. The object type information lets different color conversion tables be used for different types of objects.
  • Page 9 However, because of technology differences that exist between printers and monitors, there are many colors that can be generated on a computer screen that cannot be physically reproduced on a color laser printer.     Press Menu until you see Standard Network, and then press Select. Standard Network appears if you purchased a printer with a network port on the printer system board. If you have a MarkNet™ print server installed in the option card slot, you see Network Option 1.

    Pull down the latches. They slide toward the center to release the fuser. Pull the fuser out of the printer, and set it on a clean, flat surface. Unsnap the housing and set it aside. Clearing jams guide Page 6 of 6 Lift up the fuser roller cover and remove the jam.
