Above the arrow keys you will see symbols that identify the in-
dividual functions of the arrow keys:
The arrow keys allow you to select telephone numbers

from the phone book
When you are entering telephone numbers or names,

you can make changes by moving a cursor. The arrow
keys shift the cursor to the left or right.
If a selection list (e. g. phone book or menu) is dis-

played, you can use the arrow keys to scroll to the de-
sired entry. If a continuous text is shown (e. g. a mes-
sage), you can scroll up and down through the text
with the arrow keys.
During a call you can change the volume of the

receiver/loudspeaker using the arrow keys.

A long key press of the "down" arrow deletes individual num-
bers or characters.
The two keys below the display,
as well as the arrow keys, are
known as softkeys. The func-
tions assigned to the keys are
shown in the lowest line of the
display. The key function
changes automatically according
to the operating status of the
handset.
