, If you have connected an audio component
to the DIGITAL OUT (COAXIAL) jack
and want to change the audio track for the
HDD (when "HDD Recording Format" is
set to "Video Mode Off" in the
"Recording" setup (page 119))/DVD-
RWs/DVD-Rs (VR mode) during
playback, set "Dolby Digital Output" in
the "Audio Out" setup to "Dolby Digital->
PCM" (page 115).
, Bilingual audio streams cannot be
recorded simultaneously from digital
broadcasts.
The sound is breaking up.
, The signal strength is low.

The programme position cannot be
changed from the programme position
you are recording.

Playback

The recorder does not play any type of
disc (except HDD).
, The disc is upside down. Insert the disc
with the labelled side facing up.
, The disc is not correctly inserted.
, Moisture has condensed inside the
recorder. In this case, if the recorder is on,
leave it on (if it is off, leave it off) for about
an hour until the moisture evaporates.
, If the disc was recorded on another
recorder and was not finalised (page 39),
the recorder cannot play the disc.
