Slow Motion

You can view a tape during play or play-pause mode using slow motion.
1. In pause mode, press the FORWARD or REVERSE button to start slow-motion playback.
2. Press the FORWARD button to increase search speed or the REVERSE button to decr e ase
search speed.
3. Use the TRACKING + or – buttons to r emove any streaks from the picture.
4. Press the PLA Y button to return to normal playback.
The VCR switches automatically fr o m slow-motion playback to stop after a few minutes.

Frame Advance

Frame Advance lets you view stop-action one frame after another during playback.
To Start Frame Advance:
1. Press the P AUSE button on the r emote (PLAY/PAUSE on the VCR) to fr e eze the action.
2. Press F. ADV on the r emote control each time you want to view the next frame of the scene.
3. Press the P AUSE or PLA Y button on the r e mote control (PLAY/PAUSE on the VCR) to r e turn
to normal playback.

Index Search

The VCR has a VHS Index Search System that automatically records an index mark on the tape
every time you start a r e cording. During playback you can locate the pr o gram you want to play
by the number of index marks or by scanning. The VCR will sear ch forward or reverse from the
location you are on the tape.
