Installation Problems
The USB cable has already been connected and the printer is turned on before
installing the printer driver.
Turn the printer off then turn it back on again.
The printer is turned off.
Turn the printer on.
The USB cable is not connected properly.
Make sure that the printer and computer are connected properly with the USB
cable.
An inappropriate USB cable is being used.
Use a USB cable that matches the USB interface on the printer. The USB
interface of this printer is USB 2.0 Hi-Speed and USB Full-Speed (USB1.1
equivalent).
You cannot install from CD-ROM Setup.
Install using Plug and Play. (See "Installing with Plug and Play," on p. 3-13)
The print server has not been started up.
Start up the print server.
The printer is not configured as a shared printer.
Configure the printer as a shared printer using the [Printer Properties] dialog
box on the print server.
You do not have permissions to access the print server or printer.
Ask your network administrator to change the user permissions.
