Implementing the IEEE 802.11g standard for wireless local area network (LAN), the DPW941 is capable of up to 54 Mbps data transmission rate using the Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) and the Octagonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technologies.

To access the configuration utility, assign a different IP address to the network interface card (NIC) to which the WebSTAR DPW941 Wireless Ethernet Adapter is connected.

    The Web Configuration Utility Simple Setup page allows you to change the basic Ethernet adapter settings. You can use this page when setting the DPW941 SSID, operating mode, channel, station mode, transmission rate, preamble, or security. You can also use this page when enabling the MAC cloning and button scan mode features.

MAC cloning—Allows the WebSTAR DPW941 Wireless Ethernet Adapter to use the MAC address of the host computer in communicating with other wireless devices. MAC cloning supports certain software applications and devices such as Xbox and PlayStation 2 game consoles.
