Text Messaging

Your phone supports three text modes:
Predictive (XT9 )
® mode analyzes the keys you press and
n
attempts to finish the word you are entering. XT9 mode also
tries to predict what word you are entering based on words
you have entered before.
123 (Number)
mode allows you to enter numbers.
n
Symbols mode allows you to enter symbols.

Change text mode
1. While in the text entry
screen, select Menu .

Use Keypad
Keypad Lock
Press and hold to
lock keypad.
Alt key
Press to enter the
upper level character
on a key.
SYM key
Press to access
symbols menu.
Press and hold while
typing to change text
entry method.
Press and hold to toggle
Space key
Vibrate mode on/off.
To type enter a number, press the Alt key and then the
n
number key.
To enter @, press the Alt key and then the comma (,) key.
n
To type symbols, while in a text entry screen press the SYM
n
key and then select the desired symbol.
