• If you don't have a memory card, you can copy
files from your computer to your phone via
Bluetooth (page 50) or by using Motorola
Phone Tools (see the Getting Started Guide).
• If you download a copyrighted file and store it
on your memory card, you can use the file
only when your memory card is inserted in
your phone. You cannot send, copy, or change
copyrighted files.

Open the memory card slot cover on the top of
your phone.

With the gold
contacts up, slide the
memory card into the
card slot and press it
until it clicks.

Replace the memory card slot cover.
To remove the card, lightly press it to release it from
the slot and carefully slide it out.
Caution: Do not remove your memory card while your
phone is using it or writing files to it.
format memory card
Format a memory card before using it for the first
time. This critical procedure creates the "Mobile" and
"Motorola" directories. If you do not format a memory
card before using it for the first time, your phone may
not be able to read the contents of the card.
Caution: Formatting the memory card erases all
content on the card.

Scroll to Memory Card-microSD and press Options.
