program.
HP's recycling program was created to provide an
efficient way to recycle our print cartridges and other
printing supplies in an environmentally responsible
manner. It's free—and easy—to participate. Just follow
these simple steps:
For returns
• LaserJet Cartridge Recycling Program—Use prepaid,
pre-addressed UPS label and Recycle Guide enclosed
in each print cartridge box.
• Inkjet Cartridge Recycling Program—Request a
prepaid, pre-addressed UPS Recycle Guide (envelope/
box) by calling 1-800-340-2445. Or visit our Web site
at www.hp.com/recycle.
• Give your package to UPS—shipping is free.
• Call the HP Recycling Center at 1-800-340-2445 for
details on bulk returns (8- or 180-piece boxes).
News about the programs
• HP's LaserJet program has a worldwide recycling total
of 120 million pounds and has been offered since 1991.
• HP's Inkjet program has a worldwide yearly recycling
total of 3 million pounds and has been offered
since 1998.
• HP recycles almost the entire print cartridge and
recycles the box and packaging materials.
• HP converts the materials in used print cartridges into
the raw materials used to make everyday products,
such as buttons, eyeglass cases and tractor parts.
