3. From the File menu, choose Exit to exit CardWizard.

Click the Minimize button to leave CardWizard running as a minimized card-slot
indicator.
To see the full CardWizard screen again, double-click the minimized CardWizard
window.
The OmniBook automatically detects and sets up a PCMCIA card when you insert it in a
card slot. If you want to view or change the settings for a modem card or network (LAN)
card, you can change them in CardWizard. However, the default settings should be
correct for the OmniBook— write them down before changing them so you can restore
them, if necessary.
If you want CardWizard to signal you audibly and visually about changes in the upper
and lower card slots—use Notify in the Options menu in CardWizard.

To prepare a data storage card

If you insert a new data storage card in a card slot (drive D or E), you may have to
prepare it to store data (format it). Or, the card may contain a disk that's already

If a PCMCIA hard disk card isn't automatically enabled, double-click Add New
Hardware in Control Panel. The wizard guides you through the required steps.
If the PCMCIA hard disk card isn't formatted, in My Computer or in the right side
of Explorer single-click the drive, then on the File menu click Format.
