Network Connectivity

This section shows how the supported adapter card configurations for the B420 M3 connect to the Fabric
Extender modules in the 5108 blade server chassis.
There are three configurable adapter slots on the B420 M3. One slot supports only the VIC 1240 adapter, and
two additional slots accommodate Cisco and Emulex or QLogic adapters, as well as Cisco UCS Storage
Accelerator adapters.

"Adapter 1," "Adapter 2," and "Adapter 3" refer to the UCSM naming convention for the adapter slots (this
document uses the UCSM naming convention). In the server BIOS and on the motherboard, the
