1. Servicefunktionen
Aufruf, Ebenenkontrolle und Beenden des Servicetestprogrammes
Der Aufruf des Servicetestprogrammes ist bei allen Laufwerksfunktionen
möglich, jedoch nicht während der Einstellfunktionen (z.B. Sender-
suchlauf). Während des Servicemodes bleibt das Gerät bei allen
Laufwerksfunktionen voll einsatzbereit.
• Aufruf des Servicetestprogrammes:
Mit dem Fernbediengeber folgendes ausführen:
– Taste "CODE" sooft drücken bis im Display " CODE -- -- -- -- "
erscheint
– Zahlenfolge 4 9 3 4 eingeben und mit G bestätigen
– Auf dem Display des Videorecorders erscheinen anschließend
die Werte der ersten Ebene (siehe Pkt. 1.1).
• Ebenenkontrolle der Displayanzeige
Das Servicetestprogramm besteht aus drei Ebenen:
Ebene 1 – Softwarestände
Ebene 2 – Laufwerkstellungen und Fehlercodes / Fehlerstatus
Ebene 3 – Laufwerksensoren und Betriebsstundenzähler
Von einer Ebene zur anderen gelangt man durch Drücken der Taste
"TIMER ON/OFF" am Gerät. Nach der Ebene 3 folgt wieder die Ebene 1.
• Beenden des Servicetestprogrammes:
Taste A drücken oder Gerät vom Netz trennen.
1.1 Ebene 1 des Servicetestprogrammes
Softwarestände
Die 6-stellige 7-Segmentanzeige des Displays ist in 3 x 2-stellige
Zahlenblöcke unterteilt. Von links gelesen sind diese die Software-
stände des EPROMs, des Laufwerksrechners und des Bedienrechners.

1.2 Ebene 2 des Servicetestprogrammes
Laufwerkstellungen und Fehlercodes / Fehlerstatus
Die Laufwerkstellung gibt die Position an, in der sich der Cassetten-
schacht und die Fädelschlitten befinden.
Der zuletzt aufgetretene Fehlerstatus und Fehlercode wird im Uhr-
RAM gespeichert und bleibt auch dann erhalten, wenn das Gerät vom
Netz getrennt wird. Löschen kann man diesen im Servicemode beim
Aufrufen der Ebene 2 des Servicetestprogrammes durch längeres
Drücken (mindestens 5s.) der Taste "TIMER ON/OFF" am Gerät.

1. Service Functions
Calling up, Checking the Levels of and Terminating the Service
Test Programme
The service test programme can be called from any tape drive function other
than the data entry functions (e.g. station search). While it is operating in the
service mode, the VCR remains fully operational in all tape drive functions.
• Calling up the Service Test Programme:
On the remote control handset:
– Press the "CODE" button repeatedly until "CODE -- -- -- -- " is
indicated on the display.
– Enter the numbers 4 9 3 4 successively and confirm with G
– The display of the video recorder will then show the values of the
first level (see para 1.1).
Checking the Levels of the Display Indication
The service test programme is subdivided into three levels:
Level 1 –
Level 2 –
Level 3 –
The levels can be changed step by step by pressing the "TIMER
ON/OFF" button on the recorder. Level 3 is again followed by Level 1.
• Terminating the Service Test Programme:
Press the A button or disconnect the video recorder from the mains.

Software Versions
The 6-place 7-segment display is subdivided into three 2-place blocks
of figures. Reading from left to right these blocks indicate the following
software versions: EPROM, tape deck C, and keyboard control C.

Tape Deck Positions and Error Codes / Error Status
The tape drive position indicates the position of the cassette compart-
ment and of the threading roller units.
The last error status and error code that occurred is stored in the Timer
RAM and is saved even if the VCR is disconnected from the mains. The
data in the memory can be cleared in the service mode when calling
up Level 2 of the Service Test Programme by pressing the "TIMER
ON/OFF" button on the VCR for at least 5 seconds.
