6.2 PAGE 2: SEND CLOCK DATA TO OTHER DEVICES (CLOCKOUT)
The display shows CLOCKOUT. To have the IED04 generate timing data at its MIDI out, use
the INC/DEC buttons to select ON. Select OFF to inhibit MIDI timing signals from appearing at
the MIDI out jack.
Background The IED04 can generate timing signals to which other devices can synchronize if:
• The external device (sequencer, drum machine, etc.) can respond to MIDI timing signals.
• These signals go from the IED04's MIDI out to the external device's MIDI in.
• CLOCKOUT is ON.
6.3 PAGE 3: TRANSMIT PAD HIT DATA VIA MIDI
The display shows PADS OUT. To have the IED04 transmit MIDI note data when you strike
the pads, use the INC/DEC buttons to select ON. Select OFF to disable the transmission of
MIDI data when pads are hit.
