Using Child Seats with Tethers

Fixed Roof Model
Your car has a tether anchorage
point on the panel behind the
passenger's seat-back for securing a
tether-style child seat to the car.
Since a tether can provide additional
security, we recommend using a
tether whenever one is required or
available.
Pass the strap between the top of the
seat and the bottom of the head
restraint.
Attach the tether strap hook to the
tether anchorage point as shown in
the illustration, then tighten the
strap according to the child seat
maker's instructions.

To attach a tether to your car:
1. Adjust the passenger's seat fully
forward to make room behind the
seat-back.
2. Using the measurements shown,
poke a marker hole in the lining
behind the seat.
