c. From the Hyperterminal window, select an available COM port from the Connect using list
and click OK.

Stop bits: 1
•
Flow Control: None
The Hyperterminal is connected and ready to accept text.

e. Use the MMB default username and password. The default is admin for the username
and admin for the password.
NOTE
The Embedded Switch Module comes direct from the factory with an additional startup
process to set the initial password. If you want to bypass setting the initial password, use
Control-C to exit or press Enter to proceed. The password will not be changed. You will be
prompted again at the next login until the password is changed.
