Targeted to workgroups and smaller departments,
Universal Send technology (standard with the
imageRUNNER 5020i/6020i) enables users to scan
documents directly at the device for distribution to
multiple destinations, including individual or group
e-mail and Internet fax (I-fax) addresses, network or
host folders, and document management applications
such as Canon's imageWARE™ Document Manager,
all in one time-saving operation. This eliminates the
expense and administrative burden associated with
printing, forwarding, and filing hard-copy documents.
When sending documents, users can easily enter
destination addresses at the touch-screen or access
the system's high-capacity Address Book. With LDAP
(Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) support, you
can search for e-mail addresses on an LDAP server,
dynamically accessing corporate directories.
