    SPECIFICATIONS: Capsule: Externally polarised 1/2” (13mm) pressure-gradient condenser. Active Electronics: J-FET Impedance converter with bipolar output buffer. Pickup Patter: Cardioid (see graph). Frequency Response: 20Hz to 20kHz (see graph) Sensitivity: -38 dB re 1v/Pa +/- 2dB equivalent to 12mV/Pa where 1 Pa = 94 dB SPL.

  • Page 6 This user manual is not intended as a lesson in microphone and recording technique; many excellent publications are available with that objective, but please note that whether using NT5’s in mono, or stereo, as overheads, or for close mic’ing, there is no substitute for experimentation achieving optimum positioning.
  • Page 7 Fix the microphone securely to a dedicated microphone stand using the Stand Mount (RM5) supplied. 3. After use, the NT5 should be removed from its stand, wiped with a dry soft cloth and placed in its case. Be sure to place the pack of moisture-absorbent crystals (silica gel) at the head of the microphone.
  • Page 8 Warranty Service: products are warranted for one year from date of purchase. The warranty card or on-line registration (www.rodemic.com) should be used to register your microphone. The warranty covers parts and labour that may be required to repair the microphone during the warranty period.
