Various causes
Cause
– powder too fine
– not enough powder in the system
– foreign object in the grinder
– Cappuccino blocked
– Main switch (Fig. 1/II) not switched on
– Flat not engaged properly
Top up with water
Empty tank, rinse out and replace when it has
been filled
Remove the tank, de-scale it, rinse well,
fill and put in again
Fill up with beans
Draw off a cup of coffee.
"FILL BEANS" only goes off after a draw-off
Remove the foreign body as described in
Section 15.8 "Removing foreign objects"
Remove the tray, empty the grounds container,
replace the tray
Leave the machine switched on while the grounds
container is emptied.
The counter is only reset if the machine is
switched on.
Position the tray correctly.
Carefully remove the tray, empty it, rinse it out
and replace it
Remove the tray, clean the metal contacts,
see Chapter 15.11
Carry out cleaning according to Chapter 18
Do the cleaning once more;
but do not add a cleaning tablet this time
Carry out de-scaling as described in Chapter 19
De-scale the machine again; this time only with
water, without de-scaling agent
