HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
After servicing:
G Make sure the brakes operate
smoothly and that the brake pedal
position is correct.
G Make sure the brakes do not drag.
All air must be bled from the brake
G
system.
Replacement of brake components re-
quires professional knowledge. These
procedures should be performed by a
Yamaha dealer.

Parking brake cable free play adjustment

Periodically check the parking brake cable
free play and adjust it if necessary.
1. Shift the drive select lever into low gear
"L".
2. Remove the seats. (See page 4-16 for
seat removal and installation proce-
dures.)
3. Remove the console. (See page 8-8 for
console removal and installation proce-
dures.)
4. Check the parking brake cable free play.
The free play should measure 2–3 mm
(0.08–0.12 in) as shown. If necessary,
adjust the free play as follows.
