Steering system

Check the handlebar for excessive free play:
1. Push the handlebar up and down and back and forth.
2. Turn the handlebar slightly to the right and left.
If excessive free play is noticed, consult a Yamaha
dealer.

Lights

Check the lights.
Replace any burned out bulbs.

Avoid using a scraper or hot water for cleaning the
plastic lenses 1.

Air filter

Always check that there is no snow under the air filter
element frame.
1. Unhook the air filter case cover fasteners and the
latch.
2. Remove the air filter case cover.
3. Lift up the air filter element frame and check the air
filter element. If there is any snow on the air filter ele-
ment, remove the element and brush off the snow,
and then install the air filter element.
4. Place the air filter element frame in its original posi-
tion, and then install the air filter case cover. Hook the
fasteners and the latch onto the air filter case cover.

After riding the snowmobile, make sure that there is no
snow under the air filter element frame.
