    INSTALLATION OF BATTERY PACK IN HANDSET The Handset of your VT 9122 is powered by a rechargeable battery pack. It charges automatically whenever the Handset is in the Base Unit. The battery pack needs charging when: • The low battery icon and message are displayed: •...

    BASIC OPERATION MAKING CALLS Method 1------Live Dialing Press PHONE. Dial the phone number. Press OFF to end your call. Method 2------Pre-dialing Dial the phone number. Use the < key to back- space if you make a dialing mistake. Then press PHONE. Press OFF to end your call.

    BASIC OPERATION USING REDIAL Press PHONE. Listen for dial tone. REDIAL Press REDIAL/PAUSE. The last number you called will auto- matically be redialed. ANSWERING CALLS To answer a call, press any key other than the OFF key. AUTO ANSWER When Auto Answer is set to ON (see SETTING UP YOUR VT9122 ), your Handset will automatically answer an incoming call when you remove it from the Base cradle.

    CALLER ID/CALL WAITING ID NOTE : Caller ID and Call Waiting ID are sub- scription services, provided by your regional phone company. You must subscribe to these services in order to benefit from the Caller ID features of your VT9122 . Contact your re- gional phone service provider for details.

    CALLER ID/CALL WAITING ID If you try to save a record in a location already contain- ing one, the screen will display: If you do not want to replace the existing record, simply press SELECT. However, if you wish to replace it, press so that a flashing YES appears, then press SELECT.
