∫ Picture-in-Picture Function
This function lets you display a small still picture inside the
normal playback picture.
The Playback Picture-in-Picture Function can be used only
)*+,
when the TBC Function is activated. Make sure that the [TBC]
Indication is displayed. (l 64)
Set the Picture-in-Picture Mode before performing the
following steps. (l 138)
≥The [P IN P] Indication appears.

During playback, press the [MULTI] Button at
the scene that you want to capture as a small
still picture.
≥A small picture appears inside the normal picture.
Erasing the Small Picture
Press the [MULTI] Button.
If you press the [MULTI] Button again, another small picture is
displayed.
Cancelling the Picture-in-Picture Mode
Set [EFFECT1] on the [DIGITAL EFFECT] Sub-Menu to
[OFF].
≥The small picture is displayed with slightly inferior picture
quality compared to that of normal moving pictures.
≥If you press the [MULTI] Button during playback, slight
picture noise may occur.
≥When a small still picture is displayed, it is not possible
apply the Sepia or Black & White Mode to the small picture,
although their indications might appear.
