When you enter a character,
your phone displays
additional characters that are
commonly used to make
words and phrases. This helps
you enter phrases or words
with minimal key presses.
To enter a word:
T9 English
mode
1. Press [2] to [9] to start
entering a word. Press
each key once for each
letter.
2. Enter the whole word
before editing or deleting
characters.
3. When the word displays
correctly, go to step 4.
Otherwise, press [0] to
display alternative word
choices for the keys that
you have pressed.
4. Press [ ] to insert a
space and enter the next
word.

To enter a word:

mode
Press the appropriate key
until the character you want
appears on the display.
To enter the same letter twice
or to enter a different letter
on the same key, press
[Right] or wait until the
cursor moves to the right.
Then, enter the next letter.
To enter a word:
Number
mode
Press the keys corresponding
to the digits you want.
Symbol
To enter a word:
mode
Press the corresponding
number key to select the
symbol you want.
Other

Press [1] to enter special
operations
characters.

Press [ ] to change case
in English mode or T9
English mode.
