The disk drive software monitors the internal performance of
the motors, media, heads, and electronics of the drive. The
host software monitors the overall reliability status of the drive.
If a device failure is predicted, the host software, through the
Client WORKS S.M.A.R.T applet, warns the user of the im-
pending condition and advises appropriate action to protect
the data.

If you are running a system with no floppy drive and using
Windows 95, select Yes for this item to ensure compatibility
with the Windows 95 logo certification. Otherwise, select No.

Advanced Chipset Features Option

These options define critical timing parameters of the main-
board. You should leave the items on this page at their default
values unless you are very familiar with the technical specifi-
cations of your system hardware. If you change the values
incorrectly, you may introduce fatal errors or recurring instabil-
ity into your system.
