Distance compensation is
incomplete.
Vehicle speed pulses are
not correctly connected.
GPS signals cannot be
received due to an obsta-
cle.
GPS antenna cable con-
nection is incomplete.
The system is in map
mode.
Voice guide volume is set
to zero.
The vehicle is off the route.
The vehicle is going back-
wards on the route.
Beep is set to OFF.
Beep was set improperly
during an optional display
unit setup.
Map disc is wet due to con-
densation, scratched, or
dirty.
Possible Cause
Probable Solution
Check if distance compen-
sation has been completed.

Read the manual and
check the connection.
GPS signals will be
received when there are
not any more obstacles.
Check GPS antenna con-
nection with the wiring
check screen. (If the cable
is unconnected, read the
manual and check the con-
nection.)
Press the POS button.
Raise the voice guide vol-
ume.
Check the route guide dis-
play on the current position
map. Repeat route search.
Check the direction for your
destination.
Repeat route search.
Turn the beep on.
Set the monitor appropri-
ately for the type of an
optional display unit con-
nected.
Check if the map disc is
wet due to condensation,
scratched, or dirty.
