Replacing the Nib (Digitizer Stylus supplied models)
The writing feeling of the supplied nib differs from the feeling of the attached nib. Replace the
nib with the supplied one to change the feeling.
1. Grasp the tip of the pen, then pull out straight.
2. Check the direction of the new nib and insert it into the barrel of the pen.
Note
If the pen's nib is lost or broken, contact an authorized Sony service/support center.
Using Your VAIO Computer as a Remote Control (VAIO Remote control)
With VAIO Remote control, you can control devices, such as a TV, a set-top box (STB), a
DVD player/recorder, or a Blu-ray player/recorder, from a distance.
VAIO Remote control uses the infrared communication system.
1. Start VAIO Remote control. (See
VAIO Remote control.)

Your VAIO computer can learn the control signals of devices that are not displayed on the list
of the device type or manufacturer on VAIO Remote control.
To add new signals to the computer, follow the on-screen instructions. Be sure to adjust the
position of that device's remote control and the computer correctly so that the control and
the computer are on the same level, and bring the infrared transmitter of the control close to
the infrared port (
