This air conditioner is designed tofit intomostcasement t ypewindows.
As shippedfrom factory,unit witlfit into a minimum window opening
15 1/2" wideand 22" high. The preferredmethodof installationis
througha closed or stationarywindow. I nstallation in anopenwindow
frame is also possible whereopen window canbesecured tooutsideof
building or removed completely.
1.Closedor stationarywindow:Install unit instationarysashtoavoid
crankhandles orwindow latches,tfunitisto beinstalledinor nextto a
movable sash,it may benecessary t o removecatch, handle or both.
Remove crankhandleandsecurewindow inclosedposition.Remove
glasspanesand separating strips to a heightsufficienttomount u nit.
2.Openwindowframe: Removecrank mechanism andcatchhandles.
Foldwindow sashback againstexterior wallof building andsecure,or
remove completely w herepossible.
3.Afil[er panelwit[berequired atsideofunit wheninstalled in windows
havingwidthgreaterthan151/2".Filler panelshould be madefrom
3/4" thick wood securelyanchoredto one side of openingsothat
151/2" wide openingis provided. F illed panel s houldrunfull length
