Wireless networks that your device connects to

Change the connection speed for the wireless network

A faster connection speed requires more battery power.
Depending on your wireless service provider, you might not be able to change the connection speed for the wireless network.
1.
On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2. Click Mobile Network.
3. Change the Network Mode field.
4. Press the Escape key.

LED notification for network connections

Mobile network
Green:
Your BlackBerry® device is connected to the wireless network.
White:
Your connection to the wireless network is turned on, but your device is not connected to the network or you are in a wireless coverage
area in which you can only call emergency numbers.
Red:
Your connection to the wireless network is turned off.
Wi-Fi network (if supported)
Green:
Your device is accessing BlackBerry services (for example, UMA, if supported, or email service) over a Wi-Fi® connection.
