Making a Direct Connect Call Using a Voice Name
If you have created a voice name in Contacts for the number
you want to call, say the voice name into your phone to enter
the number.
1.
Press and hold Speaker Key (
telling you to say the voice name.
2.
Speaking into the microphone, say the voice name
assigned to the number you want to call.
Your phone plays the name back to you.
3.
Press and hold the Direct Connect button.

Answering Nextel Direct Connect Calls

When you receive a Direct Connect call, your phone emits a
tone or vibrates, and the Direct Connect button lights up. You
then hear the voice of your caller.

Wait for the caller to finish speaking.
2.
Press and hold the Direct Connect button on the side of
your phone. Continue as you would on any Direct
Connect call.

A Direct Connect call ends automatically after there is no
activity on the call for several seconds.
