Battery

Your motorcycle is equipped with a maintenance free battery.
You do not have to check the electrolyte level or add distilled
water.
NOTICE:
If you remove the cap strip you can permanently damage the
battery.
Any electrical accessory will use currents from the battery. If you
have electrical accessories on your motorcycle and you do ride
often, be sure to charge the battery frequently.
You should remove the battery or disconnect the battery cables
if you do not plan to ride for two weeks or more.

Immediately wash hands after handling battery.
Battery and related components contain lead and lead
compounds.
Battery Storage
We recommended that you remove the battery from your mo-
torcycle if you are planning to store it for a long period of time.
In order to maintain the life of the battery while storing you
should slow trickle charge the battery every 30 days. If you do
not remove the battery you should disconnect the battery wires
(negative first).
