6. Pivot the optical drive bracket as shown in the following illustration and then remove it from the chassis.

7. Locate the front audio and USB assembly in the computer. See "Locating components" on page 10.
8. Remove the front fan assembly for easier access to the front audio and USB assembly cables. See
"Replacing the front fan assembly" on page 48.
9. Disconnect the front audio and USB assembly cables from the system board. See "Locating parts on
the system board" on page 11.
Note: Ensure that you note the locations of the cables when you disconnect the cables from the
system board.
