Initial Use - Temperature Adjustment

The temperature regulator is also the ON/OFF-switch.
A coin is needed to turn the temperature regulator. This makes it more
difficult to change the temperature setting accidentally (child protec-
tion).
Position "
Off
Position "1" means:
Highest interior temperature (warmest setting)
Position "4" means:
Lowest interior temperature (coldest setting)
Recommended settings:
For normal use: position "1,5" to "2";

1. Insert plug into mains socket.
2. Turn the temperature regulator to the desired setting with the aid of a
coin. The green mains power light illuminates. The compressor starts
and then runs automatically.
The red warning light illuminates indicating that the required storage
temperature has not yet been reached.
3
The warning light switch off automatically when the temperature in
the freezer drops again and returns to the setting of the temperature
regulator.
3. Press the fast freeze button. The yellow fast freeze light illuminates. The
red warning light remains illuminated until the required temperature
has been reached.
4. After the red warning light has gone off, press the fast freeze button
again to switch off the fast freeze function. The yellow light goes out.
5. Wait until the freezer has reached a temperature of –18 °C, or the red
warning light has gone out, before storing frozen food.
3
From a food safety point of view, -18 °C should be considered cold
enough as a storage temperature.
The red warning light signal an alarm
– if the appliance is switched on (the storage temperature has not yet
been reached);
– if the temperature in the freezer is too warm;
A temperature increase is probably due to:
– frequent or extended opening of the door;
– storing large quantities of warm food;
– high ambient temperature;
