TV tuner operations

This unit can be used to control a TV tuner such
as the GEX-1550TV (sold separately).
Note
Text may not display correctly depending on the
language selected in the language settings. If
this occurs, text will display in the default lan-
guage of the TV tuner instead. For details, refer
to Selecting the system language on page 32.

Used to switch between preset channels.

% Press MODE.

Changing the wide-screen
mode
You can select a desired mode to enlarge a 4:3
picture to a 16:9 picture.
% Press c or d (TRK) to change the wide-
screen mode.
! FULL (full screen)
The 4:3 picture is enlarged in the horizontal
direction only, granting viewers a 4:3 TV pic-
ture (normal picture) without any omissions.
! NORMAL (normal)
The 4:3 picture is displayed as is, granting

viewers no sense of disparity as the propor-
tions are the same as that of the normal pic-
ture.

Storing stations

Menu
This function stores stations that you listen to
automatically.
XXX
Broadcast frequencies stored during this step
may replace broadcast frequencies saved previ-
ously with the preset tuning keys.

1 Touch the menu key to open the menu
display.
2 Touch Channel Search to start channel
searching.
Preset channels are listed in order of channel
frequency.
! To cancel storing the broadcast frequencies,
touch Cancel.

Setting the video signal

You can select a suitable video signal setting.
1 Touch the menu key to open the menu
display.
TV tuner
2 Touch Color System to open the item dis-
play.
3 Touch the relevant list item to select the
desired video signal.
PAL 1/PAL 2, SECAM, NTSC
! Touch PAL 1/PAL 2 to toggle between PAL 1
and PAL 2.
