    NTRODUCTION Your GE cordless phone is designed to give you flexibility in use, and high quality performance. To get the most from your new phone, we suggest that you take a few minutes right now to read through this instruction manual.

    TVs and VCRs. To minimize or prevent such interference, the base of the cordless telephone should not be placed near or on top of a TV or VCR. If interference continues, moving the cordless telephone farther away from the TV or VCR will often reduce or eliminate the interference.

    ESKTOP NSTALLATION 1. Plug the telephone line cord into the base and into a modular jack. 2. Plug the power supply cord into the base, into an AC outlet. 3. Set the PULSE/TONE switch to TONE for touch-tone service, or PULSE for rotary service.
  • Page 6 OUNT 1. Install the base plate by putting the tabs into the slots on the top of the unit first, and then snapping the bottom tabs into place. 2. Plug one end of the short tele- phone line cord into the jack marked PHONE LINE on the back of the unit, and plug the other end into a modular wall jack.

    ™ NYROOM ECHARGE In addition to recharging the cord- less telephone batteries in the base unit, you can use the Anyroom™ recharge cradle anywhere there is an AC power outlet. When fully charged, the battery pack provides sufficient power to enable the cordless phone to be left out of the recharge cradle for prolonged periods and still function properly.

    ORDLESS HONE AKING A The only two things you need to know to make a call are: • Press the PHONE button before you dial. • Press PHONE button or place the handset in the base to hang up. Otherwise, it works just like any other phone. CAUTION: Because cordless phones operate on electricity, you should have at least one phone in your home that isn’t cordless, in case the power in your home goes out.

    LASH UTTON Use the FLASH button to activate customer calling services such as call waiting or call transfer, which are available through your local phone company. TIP: Don't use the PHONE button to activate customer calling services such as call waiting, or you’ll hang up the phone. OLUME UTTON Controls the volume of the handset's earpiece.

    DVANCED EATURES HANNEL UTTON While talking, you might need to manually change the channel in order get rid of static. Press and release the CHANNEL button to advance to the next clear channel. EMORY Store up to 10 numbers in memory for quick dialing. TORING A UMBER IN The phone must be OFF when you store numbers.
