    Chapter 2: Connecting Your DVD Recorder Understanding video connections Your DVD recorder has three types of standard video connections. You should use the best connection available to get the best display. For example, if your TV supports a component video connection, connect the DVD recorder to your TV using component video instead of composite video or S-Video.
