Problem
A smell and vapours
are given off when a
new appliance is
being used.
The power levels 1 to
9 flash.
After the hob is
switched on "LC"
appears in the timer
display for a few
seconds.
After the hob is
switched on "dE"
appears in the timer
display for a few
seconds.
The cooking zones do
not heat up.
A cooking zone or the
whole hob switches
off automatically.
The Booster has
deactivated early
automatically.
The cooking zone is
not working in the
usual way at the
power level set.

Possible cause
There is no pan on the
cooking zone, or the pan is
unsuitable.
The system lock is
activated.
The appliance is in
demonstration mode.
A cooking zone has been
in use for too long.
The overheating protection
mechanism has triggered.

Remedy
The smell and vapours will
be less noticeable with
each subsequent use
before dissipating
completely.
Use a suitable pan (see

Deactivate the system lock

lock").
Deactivate demonstration
mode (see

You can use the cooking
zone again by switching it
back on (see "Safety
switch-off").
