the master switcher using the eight ¼" jacks on the Rear Panel labeled EXT SWITCHES (adjacent to the King Controller Input DIN
jack and Channel Select Rotary). All sounds and features would then be triggered (usually under programs) from the master switcher.
The Tuner Mute Function must be connected in the same way, but in its location separate from the other EXT SWITCH jacks (between
the Channel Strips and the Loop). All External Switch jacks including the EXT MUTE jack respond to grounding type (tip to ground)
logic to control their functions.
As mentioned earlier in the SPEAKER OUTPUT section, this mini toggle assigns

The King Controller footswitch provides a "silent tuning" feature via a switch labeled TUNER MUTE.
When this switch is triggered, all sound through the speakers is muted so you can tune the instrument
without annoying bandmates, engineers or an audience.
EXT MUTE: This jack controls the Tuner Mute function when the Road King Footcontroller is not go-
ing to be used as the main access to the King's sounds and features in favor of an external master
switching system. In this scenario, all Channels, Reverb, SOLO and LOOPS would be patched in to
