If the model is not vented
to the outside, the air will
be recireulated through a
disposable charcoal filter
that helps remove smoke

The charcoal filter should
be rel/laced when it is
noticeably dirty or
discolored (usually atter
6-12 months, depending
on hood usage).
Remove 2 grille screws
to remove the grille.
To remove the charcoal
tiher, disc(mneet power
at the main fitse or cir(uit
breaker panel or pull
the plug.
Remove the grille b_
removing the 2 screws at
the fi:ont that hold it in
place. Pull the Jilter at the
bottom mltil it comes/i'ee
of the locking tabs. Slide
the filter down and out.

To install a new filter,
remove t/lastic and other
outer wrapping/i'om the

I Insert tile top of the filter

on the inside oI tile top
opening.
2 Push the l)ottom of tile
fiher in tmtil it snaps

locking tabs.
